My rabbit free roams in my room and it's rabbit proof so there's nothing for her to destroy and she has plenty of toys to distract her!โค

I feel like mine is easy to care for. The โ€œhigh maintenanceโ€ part isnโ€™t really that bad. The only negative thing I can think of is GI stasis and other medical issues. Even if you live near an animal hospital that deals with rabbits it can be hard to tell they are sick.

When i first got my bunny i cherished it.. but after a week it had a stroke and died before we could take it to the vet.. A big part of me has died. It was traumatizing as it died in my lap.

Hay is not inexpensive. It's the cost of mailing that is costly. Rabbits are expensive!! You can't remove the vet bills from the equation.

You donโ€™t even have other pets but you say stuff like crashing furniture and disrupting guests and you donโ€™t even know that dogs donโ€™t do that

You are very biasedโ€ฆ you act like dogs and cats are awful. I used to love your videos but this negativity towards other animals and pets is unacceptable

Pretty accurate. Exceptions for me are that my bunny never chews anything in the house, which means I need to take her to the Vet to shave her teeth down regularly. We've never traveled with her but she loves weekends at the cottage.

My friend has an adorable rabbit, but she and her family don't really care for it. I saw that the rabbits pee was white and gooey and i never saw her get fed. Her water had been empty for days on end until I came and filled up the rabbit and the guinea pigs bottle๐Ÿ˜ข

I would really love a rabbit.
But for now it isn't possible,
So in the meantime I'm doing as much research as I can.
I'm having a bit of trouble though with the hay and have so many questions, like how much hay in weight dose a rabbit eat in a day,
What size to get, will a box of hay that is 4.4kg last a month?

I recently read about an only meadow, grass, vegetable and herb diet for rabbits. I always learned that hay should be 80% of your rabbits diet but this study shows that there are multiple health risks with giving your rabbit hay as a main part of their diet. It is a german vision which is called: 'Artgerechte Haltung'. I feed my bunnies like you suggest in your videos, but I really want to learn more about this vision. Do you know more about this or would you like to do a video about this? ๐Ÿ™‚

My bunny will be 6 in November and he hates travelling for almost his whole life. Even 5 minutes drive to his vet is a horror. If I stop talking to him, he starts to shake. He gets calm when he's in her office, then he gets stressed again. He's also very demanding and has to have everything his way, so we can't leave him with anyone who doesn't know him well. My mum lives an hour away and she has a dog and a cat, so she can't stay with him, and I can't bring him to her because my bun and her cat hate each other (bun is angry and kitty is scared, because the dog won't let her come near the bunny, doggie loves him to death and gets overly protective, so kitty hisses). So travelling for us is basically not possible, someone always has to stay home, even one of our friends said that it's worse than having a small child, because you can leave a child with grandparents if you need to. When I was in hospital he was so angry when I came back, how dare I leave him for a week. The same when my husband had work training in another city for a month. But on the plus side, he's very healthy bun, never had GI stasis, the only visists to the vet are for his vaccines and checkups, so twice a year. And he had ear infection once, but it resolved after week of antibiotics and probiotics. The most money I spend on his vet bills was his neutering, and it wasn't that expensive either, however I live in Poland and it was almost 5 years ago, prices went up so much since then.

I made the mistake of giving my bun a cat ball, the one with the bell inside. He's learned to make a lot of noise with it XDDD

What a great video โค we love our rabbits and yes they are lovely pets but oh so very sensitive. After going thru stasis and other unfortunate procedures (we adopt rescues, they usually has a lot of health issues from improper care in early life), I sometimes feel like everyday and every meal I kinda hold my breath to see if they will eat. And then I can relax knowing they are both ok. And then itโ€™s breakfast time and itโ€™s the same thing. Probably me being too worried but it really is a con how sensitive they are and how quickly things can turn really bad.

They are very sweet and gentle, quiet as you mentioned and I also think they feel safe with their owners because as soon as someone else enters our house they are gone and the second the guests leave they will jump up, back in the couch as nothing happened. Adorable animals with big personalities.

With proper care and a good insurance they can live a happy life but itโ€™s important for the owner to be responsible and deep dive in to proper care since thereโ€™s not a lot out there that is correct. Even out vets disagree on some parts and theyโ€™re both experts in bunnyโ€™s.
